Preparation & Healing

Pre & Post Care

Pre-Care Instructions

The day of your procedure

  • • Bring government issued picture I.D. (Driver’s License, Passport, Military I.D.)
  • • Make sure you have eaten within 2 hours prior to your procedure.
  • • Do not take Ibuprofen, aspirin or any other pain medications that thin your blood on the morning of your procedure unless medically necessary.
  • • Do not consume caffeine or sugar on the morning of your procedure.
  • • Do not workout the day of your procedure.
  • • Wash your hair the morning of your appointment. Keep the procedure area clean and dry during healing.
  • • Bring a photo of your desired look if you have one. Come with makeup on only if that is how you want the result; otherwise no makeup.

Weeks leading up to your procedure

  • • Do not take fish oil 1 week prior (blood-thinning effects).
  • • Do not use Retin-A or Glycolic Acid products 2 weeks prior.
  • • You must be off Accutane for at least 12 months prior.
  • • Drink plenty of water for 24 hours leading up to your appointment.
  • • Avoid alcohol and overly processed, salty, or sugary foods the night before.

For Eyeliner Clients

  • • Remove false eyelashes or extensions before your appointment.
  • • Allergy medication (Claritin or Benadryl) 1 hour before can help reduce watering.
  • • Contact lenses must be removed.
  • • If using Latisse, stop 8 weeks before and 2 weeks after eyeliner.

For Eyebrow Clients

  • • Do not tweeze, thread, or wax eyebrows 3 days prior.

For Lip Clients

  • • Stop long-lasting lipsticks/stains 2 weeks prior. Exfoliate daily and moisturize often.
  • • History of cold sores: use prescribed anti-viral (Valtrex/Zovirax) 3 days before, day of, and 3 days after.

Post-Care Instructions

Eyebrows

  • First 24 hrs: Gently wipe with aftercare pads every 3–4 hours.
  • Day 2–14: Do not get brows wet. Do not apply anything until all scabs are gone.

Eyeliner

  • First 24 hrs: Gently wipe with aftercare pads every 3–4 hours.
  • Day 2–10: Do not get eyeliner wet. No product on lids/lashes until scabs are gone.
  • • Wear sunglasses in the sun for 14 days. No lash extensions, dye, perm, or curler for 14 days.

Lips

  • Day 1–7: Wipe with aftercare pads every hour for the first 4 hours, then keep moist with ointment as needed.

For All Procedures — Day 1–14

  • • Only touch with clean hands. Do not get the area wet.
  • • Do not rub, pick, or scrub scabs — let them flake off naturally.
  • • Do not sweat or take hot showers. No makeup, lotion, or soap on the area.
  • • Stay out of the sun; use sunblock once healed.

Important Notes

  • Brows: Look darker at first; soften as they heal. Touch-up recommended.
  • Eyeliner: Darker/thicker at first. Swelling 2–3 days. Ice 10 min on/off first 24 hrs.
  • Lips: Swollen and bright at first; color softens. May look pale while healing — normal.
  • • No blood donation for 12 months. Tell radiologist about PMU before MRI. Laser can change color.
